Missouri Voters Pass Cloning Amendment

Posted by thelamp on November 9, 2006

The uphill battle to prevent cloning and the destruction of human life ended in disappointment Tuesday, as Missouri voters passed the deceptive Amendment 2.

Supporters of the effort to authorize stem-cell research, which includes human embryonic stem-cell research, outspent pro-life groups by a 10-to-1 margin. Roughly a million Missouri residents voted against the constitutional amendment protecting cloning. More voters, however, were duped by the ballot language.

Men and women committed to defending the sanctity of life have already pledged to continue promoting the truth. The Center for Moral Clarity will stand by them and keep encouraging Missourians and Bible believers everywhere to protect life despite this setback.
