This is the Last Week! Sign the Petition Now

For three years, babies have continued to lose their lives even though Congress passed a ban against partial-birth abortion, President Bush signed the legislation and 70 percent of Americans agree this procedure should be outlawed. In just a few days, the Supreme Court will finally hear the argument defending this life-saving legislation.

Sign the CMC Petition to the U.S. Supreme Court

In November 2003, President Bush signed the baby-killing ban into law, but federal judges in California, Nebraska and New York each issued temporary restraining orders to prevent its enforcement. The Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the American Civil Liberties Union joined in the fray on behalf of four abortion providers.

They filed lawsuits alleging the law is unconstitutional because it does not include a “health exception,” which would permit the procedure under certain circumstances. Instead of a health exception, the law includes a long “findings” section with medical evidence presented in congressional hearings that indicates the procedures banned by the law are never medically necessary. Two of these lawsuits are cases the U.S. Supreme Court will hear on Nov. 8.

Thousands of babies are counting on you to be their voice, and you can do so by clicking here to sign the PBA Petition, which is the last opportunity people passionate about life have to let the Supreme Court know they indeed want this ban enforced. America needs the ban on partial-birth abortions. Once the Center for Moral Clarity sends the petitions to the court, the only action remaining is prayer. Please pray for the lawyers presenting the case for life. Pray that they will persuade the court to allow Congress to legislate. Pray they will be champions in the legal battle for life.
